That photo? That’s me, made in the ski resort of Dizin Iran! The photo was taken at the exact moment I fell in love with Skioneering.
I was overcome with admiration for the people, the old gondolas, the powder, the culture, and the beauty of the country. All my preconceived notions about this place and the world melted away and I knew then that I wanted to explore more of this beautiful world.
It was January 2019 and I didn’t have any companions to go snowboarding with me, so I decided to take a chance and go to Iran alone. Without a plan or any prior knowledge, I just took a leap of faith. It ended up being the best decision of my life and completely changed my perspective on the world.
